Introduction

Lawrence Rugg Architecture’s second project for Direct Urgent Care seeks to further the goal of providing a contemporary and user-friendly environment to receive urgent medical care. This is accomplished by placing the corridor leading to the five exam rooms along the exterior windows, with high windows between each exam room and the corridor. In addition, the patient lobby and the exam room corridor have an open ceiling and contemporary finishes to create a more spacious and relaxed feel to the public area. The staff lounge, conference room, and patient consultation room also have access to either direct or indirect natural light.
